This time of year the Valley is always bustling with events – but this year is even busier, with a little thing called the Super Bowl! With the WM Open hitting Scottsdale, the Super Bowl coming to Glendale and Super Bowl central calling downtown Phoenix it’s home, getting around town with the kids just got a little trickier. And, lets face it, we can’t keep our kids inside all day without driving them crazy.
With the extra traffic coming through our streets, it’s important to have a car with excellent gas mileage to save you on the road! I was able to test drive the 2015 Jetta 1.8T SE and take the kids out to the Phoenix Zoo, so it was a win-win for everyone.
The Jetta is efficient in fuel economy with 25 city/37 highway mpg making this ride perfect for jetting around town. The 1.8T SE is a valve turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with electro-mechanical speed-sensitive power steering making this sporty car easy and sleep.
Driving this car through town was smooth (minus all the tourist traffic), which made getting the kids off to the zoo super easy and we were able get out and enjoy this beautiful weather!
If you turn on the news, all you will hear about is Super Bowl and the giant blizzard coming towards the east coast. But, with brake assist, electronic stability control, daytime running lights and traction control this is definitely one car that can handle the conditions.
Since you are driving around your precious cargo, this car is definitely safety first. This car features driver and front passenger airbags, front and side airbags, supplemental restraint systems, Side Curtain Protection head impact airbags and front and rear airbags. You also have the option for child safety rear locks, which was definitely handy when my kids were younger.
The power tilling and sliding sunroof makes this a perfect ride to be stuck in traffic during our beautiful weather! And, the RNS 315 touchscreen navigation an AM/FM CD player with MP3 playback makes it easy to plug in my phone (or switching to SlriusX Satellite Radio) and play the music that the kids (and I) will enjoy!
