LINES YOU WANT TO KEEP

As my girlfriends and I approach the big 4-0, it appears our conversations have shifted from the best makeup brands to best Botox deal. I have yet to take the plunge, but that might be because I get to test drive cars like the 2018 Lincoln MKZ Reserve AWD which keeps me feeling young and looking sharp.

Since Botox is used to reduce fine lines, I don’t want that anywhere near the MKZ – the sleek lines on this Lincoln make it look confident and elegant – I assume that might be similar to how one feels after Botox. However, the MKZ does not need an injection to feel that way – the fully retractable panoramic glass roof opens by the press of a button and the outside also features chrome door handles and a dual exhaust system with chrome tips. I don’t know that Botox can make anyone look this sparkling.

It gets even better when you are inside the MKZ. The ambient lighting works wonders for those of us who have not received Botox and the heated/cooled front seats and rear heated seats work for any side effect that any procedure may cause. The multi-contour seats, leather seating surfaces and the dual-zone electronic auto climate control also work wonders for feeling young and vibrant.

You definitely don’t want to use Botox to paralyze the feeling you get in the MKZ when the turbocharged 2.0L GTDI I-4 engine is giving off 400 horsepower with the all-wheel drive. The six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters will get your face blowing in the wind unless, of course, you get Botox. Nothing blows. With 20 city/28 highway mpg, the MKZ was easy to show off around town. Not sure how much mileage you can get after just one Botox injection.

It is definitely not all about looks either; of course, I am talking about the car. The technology and safety features in the Lincoln MKZ make it seem well beneath its years. The embedded modem allows the driver to use the MyLincoln Mobile App which includes features like smartphone integrated technology, remote start, remote lock/unlock and vehicle finder. Other safety features include rear view camera, perimeter alarm, SOS post crash system and reverse sensing system. There is no going back after Botox, but with the MKZ, you can move backwards with ease and stability.

Although we are getting closer to our 40s, I am not sure that Botox is in my future. What I would love to see in my future is this 2018 Lincoln MKZ Reserve AWD for a mere $53,405. I am sure that price is nothing compared to how many Botox injections I will need for the rest of my life if I start at the age of 37. The luxury of Lincoln is good enough for me.
