Nissan Rouge – On Point

As a fashionista, mother and business woman, how can we accommodate to all that without sacrificing the beauty of driving a vehicle that screams elegance. Well, Nissan decided it was time to step up its game and after long experimentation, the results produced the 2017 Nissan Rogue SV Hybrid!

Technical aspects of hybrid functions:

Hybrid technology functions to maximize efficiency based on the vehicle operators drive cycle.  Equipped with a combustion engine, electric motor, battery and regenerative braking technology all these components work hand in hand to produce a more environmentally friendly vehicle. Because this technology is supported by an electric motor, the combustion engine has the capability of being smaller than a non-hybrid model. When at low speeds the electric motor is powered by a battery to send power to the wheels. The battery is charged. As the vehicle approaches higher speeds, the engine takes over, and the electric motor is shut off.

A Fashionistas drive cycle

Let’s imagine what the driving experience of a hybrid Rogue is like on an average workday at a Fashion magazine company. Walking out to the driveway in white heels and navy blue pencil dress, setting foot into the fresh leather interior that far from sacrifices elegance with its charcoal interior and straight edge steering wheel, instantly brings energy levels up with its good vibes even at 6am. Because its early morning, the hybrid technology makes it suitable for early morning starts to avoid waking up the neighbors since this technology allows initial start up to be powered by the electric motor and results in almost a completely silent start up. The Nissan Connect system simply allows you to jam to the morning playlist with a touch of a button while merging onto the freeway. Gradually increasing the speed past 75mph the electric motor smoothly disengages and the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine takes over. Getting deeper into downtown the regenerative braking technology plays its role in converting kinetic energy wasted during braking into useful electrical energy to charge the battery, and therefore powering the electric motor. In this case, traffic lights and slow traffic are actually beneficial. Silently pulling up to a parking spot at work, there’s just enough time to add the final touches to your makeup routine. The best part is that you can keep the Rogue running because as your parked, the car is solely running on the electric motor, so be assured that the fuel gage will stay exactly on point, just like your contour!
